Prepare the clams and shrimp

Prepare the clams and shrimp
Both shrimp and clams are the key element of this dish, for this reason their quality will affect the final result. It is essential to choose fresh and high quality clams to ensure an authentic and genuine taste for preparation. Selecting fresh and healthy clams, coming from reliable and preferably local sources, is essential to obtain the maximum from the dish and to make sure that each bite is an explosion of delicious flavors. Start by carefully cleaning the clams and shrimp. Meanwhile, in a large pan, fry two cloves of garlic (6.0 gr) with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. The basic preparation for clams is always the same: in the pan with oil, put The clams (500 gr). Cook with the lid for about 8/9 minutes over medium heat until the clams have opened, then turn off the heat and let it cool. Once all the clams are open, add the shrimp (300 gr) in pan and let them cook again for a few minutes. Also add the cherry tomatoes cut in half (80 gr).

Prepare spaghetti

Prepare spaghetti
In the meantime, cook the pasta (400 gr) in abundant salted water, however leaving it al dente. Before draining it, keep a ladle of cooking water. Drain the pasta and transfer it directly to the pan with the clams, shrimp and cherry tomatoes. Add a little pasta cooking water and sauté everything together to mix the flavors. Sprinkle with plenty of chopped parsley and freshly ground black pepper as desired. The clams and shrimp pasta is ready to be served! Offer it to your guests still hot, garnishing every dish with some clams.
